ISBN 1-883010-56-X (spiral bound) 6" x 7".

Presented by Beadwork magazine, this comprehensive reference manual contains concise and useful information on types and sizes of beads, threads, waxes and conditioners, needles, findings, numerous beading stitches, techniques such as increasing and decreasing, and working with a loom. It goes further still by including techniques for embroidery, knitting, crochet and macramé with beads, wirework, and the making of beaded spiral rope, cords, fringes and edgings.

The "how to" sketched illustrations are very clear and easy to follow, and the accompanying text likewise. This small book contains useful charts, diagrams, glossary, and a range of graph papers with the invitation to photocopy the latter freely for all one's projects.

There is a short bibliography and good index at the back.

This book is my first choice as a quick and esy reference manual and has not failed me yet.

In their introduction, the authors write "And while a lot of good information has been published about the craft, much basic data are buried within projects and/or scattered through editions. We saw the need for a concise and easy-to-use dictionary of beadwork tools and techniques. Here is our answer to that need."

I believe the authors have answered that need well.
